How does the Aniva day work?

A group RIB from Novikovo. Departure time is confirmed the evening before. We do not climb the lighthouse tower. Hot tea and a snack are in that day’s programme.

Are oysters and wildlife guaranteed?

No. Catch, oysters and animals depend on the day and the sea — a possibility, not a promise.

Seven days in southern Sakhalin: a city tour of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, an auto day to the Torii gate, Tikhaya Bay, the crab market and Klokovsky waterfall, a group RIB run to Aniva Lighthouse from Novikovo, a jeep day to Cape Velikan (Cape Ptichiy), a gastro day at the Lake Busse oyster bank, a free day, and a hike to Frog Mountain.

$570 per person: transfers on all routes, lunches and snacks that are part of the excursion programmes, and a guide. Not included: the flight to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, hotel accommodation, breakfasts and dinners, museum and park tickets.

Day 1 includes hotel check-in in the programme; you pay the hotel yourself.

Itinerary

Day 1

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk city tour

A city sightseeing tour. Hotel check-in — accommodation is paid separately and is not in the tour price. Free time.

Day 2

Auto tour: Torii gate, Tikhaya Bay, crab market, Klokovsky waterfall

Leave town. Walk to the Torii gate and the crab market, Klokovsky waterfall, Tikhaya Bay. Café lunch. Back in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk around 19:00.

Day 3

Sea outing to Aniva Lighthouse

Departure time confirmed the evening before. Arrive in Novikovo, safety briefing. Group RIB from Novikovo, walk to the lighthouse. We do not climb the tower. Hot tea and a snack. Back in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk around 20:00.

Day 4

Jeep «Cape Ptichiy» (Velikan)

Drive to Cape Velikan, a coast excursion. Snack: sandwiches with Sakhalin salmon and tea with klopovka. Back in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk around 18:00.

Day 5

Gastro: oyster bank on Lake Busse

Drive to Lake Busse. Gather oysters with a guide, lunch from the catch and a grill demo. Catch is not guaranteed. Back in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk around 18:00.

Day 6

Free day

City walks, shopping, our seafood shop and local sights. By arrangement the free day can be swapped for the jeep Cape Evstafiya and the turquoise lakes or the auto “south-west ring with Steller sea lions” (Nevelsk + Kholmsk).

Day 7

Hike «Frog Mountain power spot»

Leave town. Walk to the Frog stack with a guide. Snack: sandwiches and hot tea with klopovka. Back in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk around 14:00.
