A jeep 2-in-1: Cape Velikan and a gastro day at Lake Busse.
First the Cape Velikan route: from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on asphalt and sandy coast, a stop on the Okhotskoye promenade. Then dirt roads, sandy shore, viewpoints at Tunaicha and Izmenchivoye. A walk to Cape Ptichiy: Pogranichnik rock, the arch, bird colonies. Return by a different path. Snack: salmon sandwiches, tea with klopovka, Korean sweets. After the snack we do not go back to town — a scenic road to Lake Busse.
At Busse: views of the lake and the Sea of Okhotsk, the oyster bank, giant Sakhalin oysters in their habitat. Gathering and tasting: oyster, sea urchin, whelk and others. Lunch in a shore tent from the catch and Sakhalin delicacies. Back to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk via the LNG plant and Korsakov port.
